Person Pond Exit Nets
A Person Pond Exit Net is a safety escape ladder from a chance falling into a plastic lined pond. These nets are custom made to length to suit your ponds embankment length. Our standard size net is 1.5m width x any length made from 14mm UV stabilised HDPE rope with a 300mm grid. Other popular sizes are 1m width with a 250mm grid. Usually the length of a net is measured from 0.5m above the pond liner anchor pit to 0.5m from the end of the pond sloped edge.
Fauna Pond Exit Nets
Fauna pond exit nets are not made from rope but are made from HDPE (high density polyethylene netting) with a 20mm to 25mm mesh grid. It is made to allow the claws of an animal or reptile to grip the net with its claws but not be big enough mesh to allow the animals paws to go through the netting. Our standard size is 1.5m width x any length, but can be made to whatever width you choose.

90mm and 75mm spreaders are placed within the nets at no greater than 5m spacing

Spreaders are made from HDPE water pipes and are filled with stones for ballast
We use polyethylene (HDPE) ropes and spreaders for the following reasons:

HDPE materials hold UV stabilizers better than most ropes

HDPE does not absorb water
-
HDPE is resistant to most acid and alkaline conditioned waters
